Top 5 Saturday: May 30th, 2020

Happy Saturday lovelies! I hope you’re having a great weekend so far!

Top 5 Saturday is hosted by Devouring Books! This week’s prompt is Books With A Male POV! For this prompt I choose to highlight some books on my TBR!

1. The Black Flamingo by Dean Atta

I talked a bit about this one in my post yesterday (May Book Haul vol. 2). I’m so excited to read this one and I’m so proud of Barnes & Noble making it one of its YA Book Club Picks. We need these stories and I hope we continue to get more of them as we go forward.

2. Docile by K.M. Szpara

03dd7352-30ef-4805-8385-037c9c1d8948-15313-000004a3456cbb1f

This is one of the only books I’ve ever seen with a trigger warning and I’m a little apprehensive about reading it, but I think it’s going to be one of those books that makes you think and sticks with you after the final page.

3.  The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller

11250317

This one has been on my TBR for a LONG time and I’m kinda mad at myself for not having read it yet. I hear such amazing things and I know I’ll love it.

4. The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzi Lee

This is another book that’s been on my TBR for forever and I’m not sure why. I hear great things about this one, and the rest of the series, and I know I’m going to love it once I pick it up.

5. Batman: Nightwalker by Marie Lu (DC Icons #2)

29749090

I need to read all 4 DC Icons books but I’m most looking forward to reading this one. Marie Lu is one of my favorite authors and I’m really excited to read her interpretation on a teenage Bruce Wayne.
